PENZION ŠTERK

For more than three decades the family-run Penzion Šterk has been catering for guests seeking peace by the emerald-green Soča or enjoying an active holiday in this beautiful valley.

Where are we?

Most na Soči is a quiet little resort town at the confluence of the Soča and the Idrijca.

We are 100 km from Ljubljana, 35 from Nova Gorica and 60 km from Udine (Italy).

From Austria the quickest way to reach us is via Villach (Austria) and Tarvisio (Italy) over the Predil Pass and down the Soča Valley. Tolmin –

the centre of the Upper Soča Valley – is 5 km away.

The railway line between Nova Gorica and Jesenice passes through Most na Soči, so there is also a handy railway station.

The nearest airports are Ronchi (Trieste – 70 km) and Brnik (Ljubljana – 100 km).

Accommodation

Before or after attempting the challenges of the Soča Valley you can rest and recharge your batteries in one of our rooms or our apartment. The rooms have double or twin beds and a bathroom. Special offers for groups.

Recreation

Hiking, fly fishing, paragliding, cycling… all within easy reach. Guests also have the free use of a boat, bicycles and a sauna. We also sell fishing licences and tickets for paragliding and can provide all the information you need for an unforgettable experience in the Soča Valley.

ŠTERK RESTAURANT

Lovers of nature and good food can relax on a terrace above the confluence of the Soča and the Idrijca, taking in the breathtaking view and enjoying great food made with local ingredients. The restaurant can seat 50 guests. The same number can be seated in the summer garden. We offer à la carte dishes and our speciality is trout – the best in the valley. Our original Soča Valley Menu guarantees plenty of satisfaction for gourmets. You will not be disappointed with our choice local cuisine and service.
