The card will be available for purchase from 1 June 2025.

The Soča Valley is heaven for vacationers. Put it in your pocket and go with the flow from the Most na Soči train station to Nova Gorica or even Ljubljana. Discover the natural attractions and cultural herritage of Soča Valley. You’ll enjoy free entrance to sites, attractions, and museums. Opt for the free hop-on-hop-off bus or shuttle through the Soča Valley and give symbolic thanks to the pristine environment. The Julian Alps Card will take you even further on your adventures, to Bled, Bohinj, and even Radovljica. Look for this destination card at all tourist information centers and selected service providers throughout the Soča Valley.

DESTINATION CARD PRICES IN THE 2024 SEASON

Adults 25 €
Children (7—14 years) 15 €
Children (0—6 years) 0 €

The card is not transferable and may be used only by the person, whose name and surname are indicated on the card. The card is valid from the first day of validity to the fifteenth day to 24:00.

Free services and discounted services as provided by the card can be used in accordance with the working hours of the service provider and the availability of accommodation capacities. The card owner can only use the discount upon submission of the card, for a one-time entry to every sight or as a return ticket.

1. Tolmin Gorges

The Tolmin Gorges are the common name for the gorges of the Tolminka and Zadlaščica rivers and the lowest point of the Triglav National Park.
Attractions: the Bear’s Head rock, the Devil’s bridge, Dante’s cave.

2. The Memorial Church of Holy Spirit in Javorca

High above the bed of the Tolminka River, there is a wooden sacred place, the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca, which bears the European Heritage label. The Church was built during the First World War and celebrates the fallen Austro-Hungarian defenders of the Isonzo Front battlefield (1915–1917).

3. Kozjak Waterfall

Not far from Kobarid, there is the 15-metre-high Kozjak Waterfall. The waterfall is known as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia, as it is hidden from the everyday world by a gorge with tall cave-like walls.

4. The Tolmin Museum

The Tolmin Museum presents the rich cultural heritage of the Soča Valley, such as the archaeological finds from Most na Soči and an exhibition on the Great Tolmin Peasant Revolt of 1713.

5. The Kobarid Museum

The Kobarid Museum is the central Slovenian museum on WW1. It is one of the most recognisable WW1 museums in the world and a recipient of a number of prestigious awards.

6. Kluže Fortress

This majestic fort above the Koritnica gorge is one of the most visited cultural sights in the Soča valley. It is an important monument to the defence against Turkish invasions, Napoleon's army and attacks during World War I.

7. Cheese Museum

Sirarski muzej Mlekarne Planika »Od planine do Planike« predstavlja dediščino planin in tradicijo posoškega sirarstva. Closed in May.

8. The birth place of Simon Gregorčič

The house in which the poet Simon Gregorčič was born in 1844 is a unique ethnological monument, depicting the architecture and culture of the inhabitants of the village of Vrsno during the poet's lifetime.

9. Dom Trenta

Dom Trenta presents the cultural landscape, the rich ethnological heritage, the nature and the past life in Trenta and the peculiarities of the Triglav National Park.

10. Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden

The Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in a natural environment in Slovenia. From other Alpine botanical gardens in Europe, Juliana differs by its diverse mixture of Alpine and karst species.

11. The Riko Debenjak's Gallery

Gallery was arranged in 1977 in one of four defence towers from Medieval times. Riko Debenjak's works are on display in the gallery over the summer, and many other well-known artists exhibit throughout the year.

12. Park Pečno

In this park, the forest is transformed into a natural venue for all sorts of recreational, cultural and educational outdoor activities. It offers hiking trails, amazing views, mountain bike trail and a Forma Viva sculpture garden.

The  Mostnica Gorge and the Voje Valley are among the most beautiful and favoured natural sights in Bohinj. They offer views of crystal clear pools and water-shaped rocks, as well as diverse flora and fauna and a cultural landscape that has been nurtured by the people throughout the centuries.

14. Bled Guided Tour

Every Friday at 10 a.m. upon  (until 8:00 a.m. on the day of the tour) a free guided tour of Bled – a stroll along the lake promenade and the old town centre.
Meeting point: Bled Tourist Information Centre, Cesta Svobode 10, Bled. The guiding is in Slovene and English languages.

15. Honestly Sweet Radovljica

› Follow a bee through Radovljica

This family path through Radovljica leads children into the world of bees with the help of interactive points and a booklet featuring tasks, which is available in Slovenian and English languages. Start: Radovljica Tourist Information Centre.

> Antro Cave 

A tourist cave, allowing visitors to enter more than three hundred metres into the depths of the earth and to see a loggia from the Longobard era, a Gothic chapel and a Baroque altar that bear witness to ancient religiosity. The cave has offered shelter to the population since ancient times, and has been a place of worship since the 8th century.

With the card, you can visit the Antro Cave cheaper  (10% discount).

> The Knife Grinder’s Museum

Resia, the cradle of knife-grinders, now houses a museum dedicated to this trade. The trade of knife-grinder was so widespread in Stolvizza that in every family there was at least one knife-grinder who left his valley each year in fine weather to seek his fortune in foreign lands.

With the card, you can visit the Knife Grinder’s Museum cheaper (10% discount).

Transport that is not part of the main lines, runs only during the main tourist season (usually from 1 July onwards). The Julian Alps Card: Soča Valley does not include regular bus services.

Free bus rides from Tolmin to the Memorial Church in Javorca and to Tolmin Gorges.
